From The Not-So-Frozen Wastes...

I assume it has something to do with warmer air rolling in off the Atlantic than that from the North Sea, but we really are basking in sub-tropical climes here compared to the eastern and southern areas of England. We have had a  little snow this year, and some early morning frosts, but on the whole we have been free from the Arctic conditions currently being experienced elsewhere.
That said, we have finally put the duvet back on the bed instead of thin blankets, and we have had to put the heating on rather more often.

And I'm wearing a vest.

But it is not yet as cold as last year, by a long chalk.

For  us the worst weather came before Christmas, and for a couple of weeks after, when we had very strong winds day and night and it seemed to be dark and damp all the time.

But we haven't been snowed in, and I'm only wearing a few more clothes than usual! And Spring is only a few weeks away...isn't it?
